May 18, 2002     On the occasion of its 5th anniversay, the entire "Popular Culture Excavation Site" was moved from the Yahoo/GeoCities community to an independent server.  Every page was subjected to minor refurbishing and there were also several updates:

Mistinguett page was updated to include discussion of a new CD and two new illustrated books as well as access to an mp3 format rendition of her famous song, "Mon Homme," the original source of the English-language standard "My Man," popularized by Fanny Brice.

Western Swing page was updated to include access to two mp3 format songs, both of which are irresistible.

Adolph Hofner portion of the Western Swing area was updated to include access to a remarkable mp3 format tune, sung in Czech.
